Wing Conbeer agrees to new contract with Ospreys

Wing Ryan Conbeer has signed a new deal to remain at Ospreys.

The 26-year-old was initially recruited in August 2024 on a short-term basis after being released by Scarlets at the end of last season.

Conbeer, whose new contract duration has not been specified, scored three times in five games, but that impressive start was disrupted in October by injury.

He said: “I’ve really enjoyed the start to my time here, there’s a great bunch of boys at the club that instantly made me feel welcome.

“It was disappointing to pick up an injury when I did, but I’m looking forward to stepping back out onto the pitch and bringing everything I can to this team.”

Ospreys head coach Mark Jones said: “We were really impressed with how quickly Ryan hit the ground running with us.

“For him to have been with another team for so long and instantly adapt to a new setup the way he did, is nothing short of impressive.

“Ryan often gets the plaudits for what he offers on the ball, which is deserved, but he’s also made some real improvements from a defensive standpoint since he’s been here.”
